Hello. I curently use the fisher xlt 17 listening device. What I am running into as of late on a couple of leak detection calls is that if there is a broken pipe fitting where half the diameter of the pipe in question in broken, I cannot build enough static pressure to hear it. Several times I have had to section it off and trace it back the old fashioned way. Any suggestions?
The old fashioned way is sometimes needed, or try this on the next one, induce water from the lowest point and induce air from the highest point, this
will improve your chance of building enough pressure and making more sound, or consider the new, larger Ridgid camera, it can go down the pipe and
find that totally broken pipe, complete with a photo for the customer

Thanks for the input. By the way..... what is the rigid camera you are talking about.... if you don't mind my asking? I can't say as I've heard about it yet.
Call Lance, he would be happy to talk about the Ridgid Micro Explorer,
he has it available now
