leak trac ,Above ground pools
leakyg - 20-5-10 at 05:44 PM

hi,
has anyone used the leak trac for above ground pools with vinyl liners. I am wondering if so, the process and how it worked out
thanks

It works better on A/G than in-ground pools, rare to have a light or stair molding to deal with, the only problem will be that it is too effective, old thin A/G liners will have many signals from scratches, thin spots and old seams

thanks,
do you ground it to the metal on the pool, or still in the ground..

I always ground to my copper stake in the ground (all pools A/G and I/G) and soak the stake area with water

How deep is your copper stake. i seem like I have mixed results on getting a ground on above ground pools, although I have tried rebar, pounded about 18" in the ground.

Just a 10" spike, the key is wetting the soil.

1oz of dawn dish soap in 5gal. of water will increase the effectiveness of the stake soaking tip, bruce.

i use this in most marginal soils

i have always found that I get a getter ground on the pool structure. Above or inground pool. unless it is a polymer wall.
