Happy Holidays to all:
It's been a very strange couple of weeks. Usually by now the phone is silent but within a four day period I received two calls for leaks. Both are
smaller (14x8) vinyl liner pools.
Pool one story... Pool lost water over last winter but was fine all summer. It is losing now that it is closed for the winter. No main drain but there
is a light that he dug up and was not leaking. Put in my old buddy the Leaktracker and found a 3/4" liner cut in the valley of the slope. Placed a
triple patch to be sure it would hold with the cold water temp.
Pool two story... Pool was just below skimmer Saturday but Sunday morning it lost over a foot of water. No main drain or light. The liner was pretty
brittle as my favorite employee Mr. Leaktracker located a 10" slice in the floor plus six more smaller cracks. Additionally there was what appeared
to almost look like a heel print shaped opening through the shallow end floor at the wall seem. This liner was very brittle and we were able to seal
the leaks but I know that this liner will be lucky to make it to the springtime.
The best part... the pools were less than five miles apart so I was able to knock out two birds with one stone.
Did I say that I love my leaktracker???
Again, Happy Holidays to all!
how did you repair the ten inch slice? just curious?
