If I'm thinking of the same valve, it is a little tricky until you know the secret. The foot under the gear set that slides under the pucks at the bottom of the valve is removable from the bottom of the gear set. Just pull the foot off the bottom of the gear set, it snaps on & off, then it is fairly easy to to install it in the bottom of the valve. Next snap the gears on to the square shaft of the foot and you're ready to go.

On the AA manufacturing low profile water valve what is the trick to getting the gear assembly under the T-clips ? I was able to get it to drop into place but it was not easy.
